"Full of cutting-edge information about what to do and examples showing how to do it. We recommend this book to all who want to learn how to navigate their relationships better."    â€‹Harville Hendrix PhD and Helen Lakely Hunt PhD, bestselling authors of Giving the Love that Heals

This is a realistic, relevant, down-to-earth book, crammed full of easy and effective tips – using just one a day will make a difference. It is perfect for BUSY modern families who face more challenges than ever as they try to balance their working life, family life, school life and social life, because it is a based on sound evidence and theory without piling on heaps of unnecessary background theory. Unlike most parenting books, that deal with problems in the child, it recognises issues in the context of the whole family unit, and aims to de-stress life for parents and children alike. The author’s accumulated professional and academic wisdom is condensed into this small but powerful book, encouraging parents to use psychologically sound tips to ‘coach’ their children and transform their relationships, through thoughtfulness, planning, strategy and consideration of their own values. A must-read for parents, but also anyone who spends time with young children in any context.
